In other words, I can and do teach a range of programs about using social media in business, non-profits, politics, and job-seeking. Shopify, Facebook, and Pinterest
Shopify is a complete ecommerce solution that allows you to set up an online store to sell your goods. It lets you organize your products, customize your storefront, accept credit card payments, track and respond to orders. Shopify stores can be hosted on your own URL, so you are not competing with hundreds of other merchants selling similar products.
Creating a store on Shopify allows you to sell merchandise directly through Facebook and Pinterest, with buyable pins. No other online retail system is as easy to use.
Attend this six-hour class and learn the basics of creating a Shopify store, as well as how to integrate your store with Facebook and Pinterest. Marketing on Instagram will be included as time and interest allow.
Shopify supports several print-on-demand and drop-shipping businesses. If you don’t currently have products to sell but you have an idea, you may find this class helpful to your business planning.
In this class, you will learn the basics of how to create a Shopify store, link it to a Facebook Business Page, and send Buyable Pins to Pinterest.
Marketing with Pinterest
Two, three, and six hour versions of this class.
Learn how to use Pinterest, the newest (and most fun!) social media service, to drive traffic to your business’ website, establish credibility, convey expertise and a sense of who you are as a business person, and develop relationship with clients and partners. Pinterest is everything Twitter promised, only it’s fun! Pinterest marketing is most obviously useful for people in the ‘portfolio’ professions–anyone who uses pictures of their work as a sales tool. But people in many other fields are using Pinterest marketing to generate leads and drive traffic.
The six hour session is regularly scheduled at NCSU’s Technical Training Solutions unit (aka McKimmon Center) and Wake Technical Community College, at both the Wake Tech West and Wake Tech North campuses.
Social Media Business Basics
This class can be scheduled in six @ 3-hour, or eight @ 3-hour sessions, covering the major social media platforms and how to use them for business marketing. The class is regularly offered at both NCSU’s Technical Training Solutions unit (aka McKimmon Center), and also at the Central Carolina Community College Pittsboro Campus.
Managing Your Real Desktop
