At Red Tuxedo, we offer a range of services from entry-level group classes to on-going system design and coaching.  Any of these services can be tailored for specific requirements.

24-Hour Turnaround™

The 24-Hour Turnaround™ is essentially an office intervention, scheduled over three business days. During a 24HT, we will implement a previously designed* iPEP “finding system” into the current paper (and digital) information flow in a small (five or fewer partners) professional practice. As part of the 24HT, we will teach you and your staff how to use the iPEP, how to process incoming paper and digital files, and deliver our Staying Changed training.

At the end of the 24-Hour Turnaround™, we guarantee three things:

  1. You will know what to do with every new piece of paper, or digital file, that comes into your office. (This promise is the part where we “teach you to fish.”)
  2. You (and anyone else in your office) can find anything we filed in five seconds or less, if the document was filed with keywords.
  3. You will have a plan for any papers or files we didn’t get converted into the new system during our work together. This item includes developing a plan for archive records that are currently or will be stored off-site.

The 24-Hour Turnaround™ is valued at $4995. The iPEP license is purchased separately. The cost of the license will vary with the number of people in the practice.

*”Previously designed” means we will work with a member of your practice, before implementation, to set up the skeleton of a filing system and taxonomy / controlled vocabulary that supports the way your practice works and files.

8-Hour Miracle!™

During an 8-Hour Miracle, we spend one dedicated work day creating a “productive environment” in one person’s office. As part of an 8HM, we will teach you how to use the iPEP (Productive Environment Platform), a finding system to help manage both paper files and any digital information you want to keep. At the end of the 8-Hour Miracle™, we guarantee three things:

  1. You will know what to do with every new piece of paper that comes into your office.
  2. You (and anyone else in your office) can find anything we filed in five seconds or less.
  3. You will have a Productive Environment Gameplan™ for any papers or files we didn’t get converted into the new system during our work together.

The 8-Hour Miracle!™ is valued at $1500. The iPEP license is purchased separately.

Support for New Faculty in Tenure Track Appointments

A subset of our clients are new faculty in tenure track positions. We provide custom coaching and productivity services designed to help them make the best possible use of the first months of their appointment. See the Tenure Track Coaching page for more information.

Classes

The Magic 6:  Tools for Productivity

This one-hour class, offered regularly at the Team Nimbus office in Raleigh, addresses the essential tools that everyone who works in an office must have to ensure a productive day.  The class is free.

Staying Changed

Staying Changed is based on the latest research about why some communities, and some individuals, are able to maintain new behavior when similar efforts in other communities fall under the wheels of the “change back” train. When delivered with a 24HT, Staying Changed will be tailored for the specific challenges of a particular practice’s culture.

Productivity Overview

The Productivity Overview is a three-hour class that addresses the major components of personal productivity:

  • Defining productivity for one’s own life
  • Life mapping
  • The Magic 6
  • Filing:  alpha sort vs. indexed and how to decide which system to use
  • To-do lists
  • Decision support
  • Project management

The class is offered regularly at the Team Nimbus office in Raleigh, as well as at other locations around the Triangle.  The class is $150 per person.

Special topics

We also offer focused classes on E-mail management, Calendar Blocking, Life Mapping, Filing, and To-do list creation and management.  Please inquire.
